    Maintenance of busbar trunking

    Maintenance of the busbar:
        Warning: Live equipment can cause serious personal injury accidents;
        Therefore, maintenance and repair operations of the busbar can only be carried out after the power supply is cut off.

     Although busbar trunking generally does not require excessive maintenance, it should be inspected once a year, and maintenance should also be performed after a serious short circuit or grounding fault in the system. Refer to the following content during maintenance:

        1. Check the voltage at all incoming terminals to verify that the power supply to the busbar has been completely interrupted.

        2、Carefully inspect the visible electrical joints and terminals, ensuring that bolts and nuts are properly tightened. The torque for bolts of different series of busbar is different (the connecting head is marked), if the torque is less than the marked 10N.M, it is necessary to tighten it with a torque wrench. Both overheating and over-tightening can damage the insulation parts, causing the busbar slot to stop working. If the joint or terminal shows serious discoloration, corrosion, dents, or obvious signs of having been exposed to high temperatures, the new components must be replaced.
        3、During the operation of the busbar slot, keep checking whether there is water droplet from the spray device, pipeline, roof, and other potential moisture sources falling on the busbar slot. Whether there are other heavy objects that may pose a threat to the system; whether there is a heat source that affects the temperature of the busbar slot.
        4、Prevent dust or other substances from accumulating on the busbar slot and blocking the exhaust holes. Periodically clean the dust on the busbar slot with a soft brush, vacuum cleaner, or a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not use an air box or compressed air.
        5、Check whether there are missing parts, broken parts, rust, or excessive wear of parts, whether the spring has the appropriate tension and free expansion, and immediately replace any abnormalities.
        6、Check whether the total load current does not exceed the current of the main busbar or the design current. Check the temperature of the operating place.
        7、Before re-powering, check the insulation performance of the busbar slot, and the inspection results must be *** preserved. If the reading decreases over time, it indicates that the busbar slot is beginning to deteriorate.
        8、After maintenance, ensure that the original protection level requirements of the busbar slot system are met.

        9、After performing the necessary maintenance and completing the above steps, an infrared temperature test can also be performed on all electrical connectors. The test should be conducted after the system is re-powered and has reached a stable operating temperature.
