Precautions during maintenance of cooling tower
About maintenance
1) The V-belt of the blower may be slightly stretched during the initial operation, please adjust the belt tension properly according to the adjustment instructions, if it is too tight, it will damage the bearings and cause accidents.
2) Please clean the upper sink drain holes, lower sink filters, etc. regularly once a month.
3) When the machine is not in use, please loosen the belt, add oil to the fan bearing, and cover the motor. When the machine is first started, check the tension of the belt, tighten the nut, and add oil to the fan bearing. Also, check whether there is a bird's nest or foreign objects in the tower, and then start the machine.
4) Change the circulating water at least twice a year.
5) When the circulating water evaporates, it leaves the dissolved substances in the water, increasing the concentration of the water and causing it to be concentrated. This increases the corrosiveness of the water, increases scaling, and reduces the capacity of the cooling tower. It also damages the pipes and equipment. To prevent this, it is recommended to solve it by draining a portion of the circulating water:
①The drain valve is only opened a little during operation (please close the drain valve when the operation stops); ②Cleaning of the lower water tank and regular water change; ③Let the operating water level rise, often overflow; ④Assemble an automatic water change device.
Precautions during winter sports season
1) Discharge of circulating and spreading water.
2) In closed occasions, please open the circulating water drainage, exhaust port, and the drainage valve of the sprinkler pump.
Winter operation precautions
Current of the motor increases during winter operation, please note. To prevent the lower sump from freezing, please use a frost-proof electric heater. The water pump and pipes are heated by a heater, and insulation is done for the water level of the lower sump.
To prevent the freezing of the closed-type cooling tower copper tubes (heat exchangers) and the spray water, please note the following: ①To prevent the freezing of the circulating water, please add antifreeze to the circulating water, or add auxiliary anti-freeze electric heaters to the pipes.
②After adding antifreeze, the freezing point drops, and it is not easy to freeze. The higher the concentration of antifreeze, the more the freezing point drops, but the thermal conductivity will decrease, so it should be noted when selecting the type of cooling tower. In addition, if there is a leakage, the freezing point will rise when the make-up water is diluted with antifreeze, please note.
③When the circulating water pump is running, the antifreeze electric heater is heated, and the water will not freeze. If the circulating water pump stops, an auxiliary circulating water pump is needed separately, and here we recommend using a complete antifreeze device (including auxiliary circulating water pump, antifreeze electric heater, and piping).
④The circulating water system is equipped with a 3-way valve. When the capacity of the circulating water is controlled through the bypass pipe, if the flow rate of the bypass pipe is increased, the flow rate in the copper pipe will be reduced, and even if there is a load, it is possible that freezing may occur. Please set the cooling tower ***minimum circulating water volume.
⑤To prevent the freezing of the water pump and water distribution pipes for the water spray, please use an antifreeze electric heater to keep the temperature of the lower water tank.
Other
1) Before running, operating, or working on the machine, please read the operation and maintenance manual, and please comply with the precautions and operating instructions.
2) Do not enter the cooling tower during operation ***. And do not climb to the top of the tower.
3) The blower may operate. Do not touch the blower, ***
4) The antifreeze electric heater will be hot, please do not touch it with your hands.
5) Do not drink the water from the cooling tower, and immediately rinse your eyes if it enters them. After work, please rinse your mouth and wash your hands.
6) The tower is marked with warning and caution signs at all parts. Please comply with the instructions on the signs.
